The meeting of the President and Vice President of Ain Shams University with USAID scholarship recipients

In a friendly atmosphere, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, met with a group of distinguished university students who received USAID scholarships prior to their travel to the United States of America, in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Mohamed Raga, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Prof. Eman Abdel-Azim, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science for Education and Student Affairs, and Mrs. Reham Al-Otifi, Acting Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Emad Gerges, Academic Coordinator of the University Scholarship Program provided by USAID, and Messrs. Program coordinators from the Faculties of Engineering, Science and Agriculture.

In a parental dialogue with 12 distinguished university students from the faculties of engineering, science and agriculture, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, confirmed the importance of every male and female student investing in the opportunity of scholarship, travel and communication with his peers, students of different nationalities, and getting acquainted with different cultures and lifestyles to enrich his personality and get acquainted with the various knowledge and experiences of their colleagues, especially because the universities of the United States of America are distinguished by the presence of different nationalities in one society, Pointing to the wide praise he receives as president of the university from all universities and institutions to which students from the university are sent for their academic and moral excellence and their perseverance and hard work in their studies.

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud advised his students to adhere to the Egyptian character and the values ​​it bears with conscious openness to the other, and that their experience, in addition to studying, include enjoying the different aspects of life and engaging in various cultural and social activities that develop their perceptions.

Emphasizing the need to pay attention to scientific study and to show genuine university morals and values ​​because they are ambassadors for their home universities and the beloved homeland, Egypt, in all their behavior and dealings, they must present an honorable image for their families and their dear homeland to be proud of.

He stressed the need for them to return after the end of their study period to their university and their homeland to carry out their duty towards their country and society with love, creativity and talent to create a better tomorrow for our Egypt and to follow the example of their virtuous professors who gave them knowledge with love and giving, so they qualified them for these scholarships and made them on an equal footing with their peers from international universities.

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud and the deans of the faculties emphasized the development of the scientific and research environment that Egypt is witnessing at the current stage, thanks to the interest of the political leadership in developing the scientific environment and empowering distinguished young minds, which gives them better opportunities to work in a way that serves the goals and strategies of the Egyptian state and its vision for a promising future.

The deans of the faculties also directed the students to the importance of making the best use of this experience, developing personal skills and social communication skills, as well as benefiting from the technological and scientific development of the universities in which they study, stressing that university students are distinguished by their good and serious education that makes them able to continue their academic excellence in the best way.
