The educational course "The ABCs of Politics and Law" in the Faculty of Agriculture

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Middle East Research Center, the center resumed the lectures of the educational course "The ABCs of Politics and Law" in the hospitality of the Faculty of Agriculture, in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Jalal Al-Sayed Gad, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Prof. Heba Nour El-Din Mohamed, coordinator of student activities in the new programs at the Faculty of Agriculture, and the lecture was given by Dr. Hatem El-Abd, director of the center and a faculty staff at the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University.

         
   
         

Prof. Ahmed Galal began the lecture, welcoming the members of the Middle East Research Center, stressing the importance of the lecture to raise the level of political and legal awareness among the faculty’s youth, and to familiarize them with the principles of law and the Egyptian constitution.

         
     
         

After that, Dr. Hatem Al-Abd gave a speech, where he indicated that the main objective of these courses is to educate university youth and introduce them to their rights and duties towards their society and country. Dr. Hatem Al-Abd reviewed a set of definitions and basic legal concepts, branches of law, and responsibilities of various kinds, as well as the difference between the law and the prevailing custom, which is an unwritten law commonly used and accepted among members of society.

At the end of the lecture, the discussion was opened in front of the students and all their inquiries were answered. After that, Dr. Hatem Al-Abd, by presenting certificates of honor to each of Prof. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty, for honoring him by hosting the educational course in the Faculty of Agriculture, and Prof. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, as well as to Prof. Heba Noureddine Mohamed, Coordinator of Student Activities in the New Programs at the Faculty of Agriculture, for her contribution to organizing the course within the Faculty of Agriculture.
