The activities of the first session entitled "The Role of State Institutions in Support of Women's Rights" of the Second Scientific Conference of Anti-Violence Units at Ain Shams University

Within the activities of the eleventh annual international conference of the university under the title "Knowledge Economy... for a Better Life", and under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Student Service Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Executive Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, at Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Nazir Ayad, Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Prof. Nadia Halim Center for Social and Criminological Research, Prof. Nadia Zakhary, Rapporteur of the Scientific Research Committee of the National Council for Women and former Minister of Scientific Research, Prof. Frederick Meyer, Director of the United Nations Population Office in Egypt, Prof. Dina Shoukry, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, at the Faculty of Medicine, Armed Forces, and a member of the National Council for Women, Scientific Research Committee.

         
   
         

And participated in the conversation each of Mrs. Shaimaa Naim, Director of the Strategic Planning Department at the National Council for Women, Mrs. Sally Zohny, Program Director of the United Nations Population, Mrs. Maria Tranko and Mrs. Eva Sawiris presenting the Spanish national experience to reduce violence against women, prof. Mona Al-Ghazani, Director of the Anti-Violence Unit at the National Council for Women, Counselor Ahmed Al-Najjar, Legal Adviser to the National Council for Women, Mrs. Elham Shaheen, Assistant Secretary General of the Islamic Research Academy, Counselor Mohamed Shaaban, Former Assistant Minister of Justice and President of the Cairo Criminal Court, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Somaya Sami Sabry, Assistant Professor, Department of English, at the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, with a paper on civil society and the economic empowerment of rural women - Rotary.

         
   
         

And Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, opened the second scientific conference of Anti-Violence Units at Ain Shams University, within the activities of the eleventh annual international conference of Ain Shams University under the title "Knowledge Economy... for a Better Life", where she indicated that the Egyptian state has developed a file for the promotion and consolidation of rights Women in society are on the list of national priorities and strategies, as the political leadership has strengthened its steps at the national level in order to support women and empower them politically, economically and socially, in addition to providing them with all aspects of care and protection, recognizing and believing in their worth and ability to enter the arena of life, leadership and leadership at the highest level, and to contribute In strengthening the role of primary health care centers, which play the role of the first line of defense for family health, participating in health awareness and education regularly, and paying special attention to practices harmful to women's health.

         
   
         

And Prof. Nazeer Ayad, highlighted the role of Al-Azhar in facing social problems, especially family problems and domestic violence, and what are the initiatives, services and efforts exerted in educating young people, such as the "unification" initiative.

         
   
         

And Dr. Rasha Muhammad, the Unit for Combating Violence against Women at the Ministry of Solidarity, presented the services provided by the Ministry of Solidarity to designated and rural women and debtors. She shed light on the shelters and provided them to the ladies who suffer from the lack of housing and have been subjected to domestic violence within the governorates.

Participants and speakers included:

Mrs. Shaimaa Naim explained the role of the National Council for Women in supporting women of all sects within Egyptian society and the initiatives targeting specific women and young women, and referred to the role of the Council in supporting anti-violence units within Egyptian universities.

Mrs. Sally Zohni discussed the role of the United Nations Population in supporting anti-violence units and supporting projects and initiatives related to anti-violence and women's empowerment.

And Prof. Hend Al-Hilali and Dr. Amani Abdel-Al presented one of the success models of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, at Ain Shams University, by reviewing a scientific research entitled The Impact of Psychological Support Programs on the Psychological State of Survivors of Suicide from Poisoning in the Poisoning Treatment Center at Ain Shams University, which exposed us to family violence under the supervision of Prof. Jihan Bishri, Director of the Poisoning Treatment Center.

Dr. Maria Tranko, Director of Programs for Women's Support and Combating Violence within the Spanish Partnership Program of the Spanish Embassy in Egypt, presented the successful Spanish experience in combating violence against women and the development of a national protocol and plan to confront forms of violence against women.

Elham Shaheen explained the role of Al-Azhar and what messages were sent by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the opinion of Al-Azhar and its role in confronting violence, early marriage and inheritance.

Counselor Mohamed Shaaban, the former Assistant Minister of Justice, presented a working paper entitled Under the Political Leadership headed by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

As for Dr. Hanan Derbashi presented a success story about the role of the Misr El-Kheir Foundation in supporting women, especially the helpless women and the debtors.

Prof. Weam, Deputy Director of the Innovation Center, explained the support of Ain Shams University in empowering female student entrepreneurs and what are the success stories resulting from these programs.

Prof. Somaya Sami, Assistant Professor, Department of English, at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, presented a paper on the role of civil society to empower women in need of Rotary success.

And Prof. Ayman Al-Dahshan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Model Center for the Blind, presented a case of success for the center in supporting blind women and mothers with blind children.

Dr. Nida El Hadidy presented a success story about the role of civil society in supporting female entrepreneurs within Egyptian society.

After the session, the students presented a simulated model of our heritage exhibition, the supportive role of women, and handicraft exhibitions that support women with breadwinners.

In conclusion, Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, honored and thanked the attendees.
