Today, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, signed a joint cooperation protocol between each of the Ain Shams University Hospitals "Al-Demerdash” in presence of Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ain Shams University Hospitals with the “Our Health for Development” Foundation, which is registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the Central Administration of Associations, and represented in signing this protocol by Mr. Mohamed Amr Sayed Shaker, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of our Health Foundation.
The protocol aims to improve health services in the Egyptian community by developing the departments of Ain Shams University Hospitals "Al-Demerdash" and improving the health service provided to millions of patients who are unable, with a distinguished level of quality of health care, working to provide the necessary medical devices and exchanging experiences between the two parties.
This came in the presence of Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ain Shams University Hospitals, Prof. Hala Sweed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Tariq Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals and Prof. Samia Abdo, Deputy Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals and Director General of Infection Control and Prof. Tariq Muhammad Youssef, Director General of Al Batinah Hospital, Prof. Azza El-Feki, head of the central cardiology department.
And from the “Our Health” Foundation, Dr. Rabab Youssef, Executive Director of “Our Health for Development” Foundation, Dr. Ahmed Shalash, General Manager of Egmed Company, Ms. Mona Al-Suwaidi, Representative of Al-Suwaidi Company, Ms. Clara Abu Al-Maaty, Director of Institutional Companies at “Our Health Foundation for Development”, Ms. Mona Al-Shall, Al-Suwaidi Company, and Ms. Mohamed Fathi, Accountant of the Foundation Our Health for Development and Ms. Ghada Farouk, Director of Public Relations for the "Our Health for Development" Foundation, and a number of those interested in caring for heart patients in Egypt.
A protocol was signed to equip the cardiac care unit in Intrinsic Hospital after its development and preparation to accommodate 17 intensive care beds for heart patients with all attached medical devices at a cost of more than 25 million pounds. The unit will be able to receive and treat approximately 3,000 heart patients annually who are unable to do so.
This cooperation comes in the wake of the donation of the "Our Health" Foundation to the Heart Academy in Demerdash, with 17 intensive care beds, at a cost of 17 million pounds, so that the new expansions contribute to increasing the capacity of the Cardiac Academy from 1200 to 2400 beds.
This is based on the belief of both parties in the concept and value of social responsibility and the role of civil society in supporting the state’s plan and efforts to develop the health sector, promote health services provided to those who are unable, improve the work environment in hospitals and medical facilities, provide their needs for medical devices and supplies, train, and work to raise the skills of their workers.
