The Middle East Research Center discusses the issue of "Youth and the Challenges of Fourth and Fifth Generation Wars" (Visions and Solutions).

The Middle East Research and Future Studies Center held a conference on the issue of "Youth and the Challenges of Fourth and Fifth Generation Wars" (Visions and Solutions) under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and Chairman of the Council Center management and conference president, and Dr. Hatem Al-Abd, Director of the Center and Scientific Rapporteur of the Conference. Prof. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Professor of Media and Media Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and President of the International Academy of Engineering and Media Sciences at the Media Production City, and Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zaid, Professor of the Faculty of Media and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Media for Community Affairs and Environmental Development and Director of the ASU Media Center at Ain Shams University, and Mr. Tariq Saada, head of the Media Syndicate, participated in the conference.

         
   
         

The conference was initiated by Dr. Hatem Al-Abd, welcoming the lecturers and the attendees, then stressed the importance of the topic of the conference to confront this new type of war facing the Egyptian society, which is represented in the control of the media and social communication over the thinking and orientations of a large segment of young people, and the exploitation of these media in promoting rumors and destructive ideas that target the stability and security of the country, which made all members of the people valiant soldiers working to protect the homeland, with the need to mobilize all state institutions to confront these wars.

         
   
         

After that, Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Professor of the Faculty of Media and Media Adviser to the Minister of Higher Education and President of the International Academy of Engineering and Media Sciences at the Media Production City, gave a speech, stressing that the new generations of wars are working to launch psychological attacks through social media to be more widespread and stronger in influence, so despair and frustration are common among members of society, as it becomes Each of them is a weapon directed towards the security and stability of the homeland, so one of the most important means of confrontation is raising awareness and using the same tool to shape public awareness in the right direction.

         
   
         

While Mr. Tariq Saada, Head of the Journalists Syndicate, emphasized that what we are facing today is a war in the industry before it is a war of use, so all users of these means must be very careful and aware, and all state institutions, especially educational institutions, must play an active role in addressing these ever-evolving challenges.

Prof. Dina Abu Zaid, Professor at the Faculty of Media, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Media for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and Director of the Media Center at Ain Shams University, indicated that these wars depend primarily on digital media, persuasion, and influence used by extremist groups to spread negatives, spread herd politics, and the hashtag agenda through electronic committees. It aims to undermine the awareness of the people, the policy of intimidation, and misleading rumors, so the most important weapon to confront these wars is to raise the level of public awareness and be very careful when using this modern technology.

After the lecturers' speeches ended, the discussion was opened to the attendees. At the end of the conference, Dr. Al-Abd presented shields of honor to the lecturers in appreciation of their distinguished and fruitful efforts.
