Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, visited the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Engineering, during his visit to the Faculty of Engineering to participate in the college's celebration of the scientific conference, which was held under the auspices of Prof. Omar El-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean for Studies Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Akram Farouk, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Where he was received at the unit's headquarters by Prof. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Amr Othman Habib, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty, Dr. Ayman Abdel Wahhab, Deputy Director of the Unit, and Dr. Waled Helmy, member of the unit. Where Dr. Amr Othman reviewed the activities and tasks carried out by the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, indicating that during this semester, electronic correction and preparation of reports and statistical analyzes were carried out using the Remark program for more than one hundred and sixty multiple-choice exams, and the Correctet system for question banks was fully activated with the support of the management of the faculty raises questions of all multiple-choice exams on the question banks, as well as some essay exams for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The unit has also held many training courses and explanatory videos to support and encourage faculty members to raise exam questions on the question banks system.
Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud praised the great effort made by the members of the unit in spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation at the level of the various departments of the college, which was clearly shown in the outputs of the unit’s tasks. He also praised the role played by the college administration in supporting and encouraging the members of the unit to carry out their tasks. His Excellency indicated the importance of The role of the measurement and evaluation units in the various faculties in developing the actual evaluation system for exams, which leads to increasing the efficiency and skills of graduates. He referred to the role of the Education Development Department at the university headed by Professor Dr. His Excellency pointed to the imminent issuance of a unified guide for all units of measurement and evaluation in the university that explains and defines precisely the tasks, responsibilities and work mechanism required during the next stage, which aims to develop university education within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030.
