The President of Ain Shams University participates in a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education to support joint cooperation with the British side in the field of employment and linking education to the labor market
Prof.  Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, participates in the visit of the high-ranking Egyptian delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the British capital, London, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, and the membership of the university presidents, representatives of the regions in the Arab Republic of Egypt, who are: Prof.  Abdulaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, Prof. Abdel-Azim El-Sharkawy, President of Suez University, Prof.  Mostafa Abdel Khalek, President of Sohag University, Prof.  Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Prof.   Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Prof.  Essam El-Din Farhat, President of Minia University, and in the presence of Prof.  Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr.  Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Strategic Planning, Training and Qualification for the Labor Market, Advisor Ahmed Ezzat, Deputy Ambassador of Egypt to the United Kingdom, and Dr.  Rasha Kamal, the Egyptian Cultural Attache and Director of the Educational Mission in the United Kingdom, and Mr. Abdullah Hussein Hamouda Mustafa Hussein, the Ministry’s consultant for the implementation of the central unit for employment centers.
The high-level Egyptian delegation’s visit to the British capital, London, lasted for two consecutive days.
 During the visit, Prof.  Mahmoud El-Meteini, the role of employment centers in universities and what they aim at linking university education with the acquisition of skills and education with apprenticeships and stimulating innovation and creativity, pointing out that the visit aimed to discuss the best ways to integrate these skills into educational curricula throughout the years of study in the first university stages, while linking them with scientific research in general, within the framework of integrating industry, agriculture, and civil society with the academic community, and making them a key partner in education and scientific research.
It is noteworthy that the visit program to the United Kingdom included two consecutive programmes, namely: (a program for high-level officials of seven university presidents, which includes visits to government officials and representatives of the private sector and various universities in the United Kingdom, the other program for officials of vocational employment centers in Egyptian universities includes general training on vocational guidance with the aim of transferring the British experience to Egyptian universities and career guidance.
