The start of internal coordination of the departments of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University for the academic year 2023/2024

yesterday, Sunday, September 3, 2023, internal coordination work began at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, for new students and the registration of their wishes for the faculty departments for the academic year 2023/2024, under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of Prof. Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, university advisor for student activities, Prof. Hatem Rabie, leader of the Family for Central Egypt, it was coordinated by Mrs. Suha Al-Sabaa, Director of the Youth Welfare Department, and Mr. Mahmoud Abdel Raouf, Director of the Student Affairs Department.

Internal coordination work will continue until September 14th in the Faculty of Arts’ lower auditorium, according to the announced lists.

         
   
         

Members of the Medical Center also conduct medical examinations for new students through the Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine Clinic.

The Dean of the Faculty added that the names of the students and the steps for registering desires were announced on the information boards and also through the website and the Faculty’s official page on social networking sites, noting that an information office has been prepared to guide students and receive their inquiries about coordination procedures.

In addition to the presence of members of the Student Union at the Faculty and their participation in welcoming and guiding new students, under the supervision of the Youth Welfare Department and the participation of the various Faculty departments until the registration procedures are completed.

Prof. Hanan Kamel explained that the students admitted to the faculty for the academic year “2023/2024” are being received and registered, number 3,234 “regular” students, male and female, and 1,927 “enrollment” students. They are arranged alphabetically at a rate of 400 students per day, as they are dealt with through 10 coordinating committees for managing student affairs at the faculty in order to ensure commitment to facilitating and speeding up procedures, in addition to providing all amenities for new students and preparing places for parents to wait.

         
   
         

Prof. Hanan Kamel said that the student arranges his three desires according to their compatibility with the conditions for admission to the various departments of the faculty.

She noted that the faculty has 14 departments, in addition to distinctive programs, which gives the student a greater opportunity to choose.

She also stressed that the departments satisfy all students’ inclinations in all fields, such as languages, technology, and digital information systems, and also comply with the requirements of the labor market.

         
   
         

Prof. Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, Ain Shams University Advisor for Student Activities, confirmed in his speech to the students: “You are lucky to join the college because it is the only faculty that includes this great diversity of specializations in all fields.”

He stressed that the student is an integral element of the educational process and that the faculty takes care of them and for them. He explained that the education and student affairs sector at the university works with all its energy for the sake of the student and the development of his abilities. He also urged students on the importance of participating in the activities provided by the university.

         
   
         

For his part, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, stressed that the Faculty provides a distinguished educational service and contributes to building and preparing a graduate capable of keeping pace with the labor market through practical training throughout the four academic years. It also builds a graduate capable of social interaction and who has a sense of belonging to his country and community through the various activities it provides by the Youth Welfare Department and Student Union, he also urged students to participate in these activities in addition to academic studies.

For his part, Prof. Hatem Rabie, leader of Family for Central Egypt at Ain Shams University, presented and explained the services and activities provided by the family by displaying videos and pictures of the events, parties, and seminars that the family held during the previous period. He also explained the family’s vision and goals in order to produce a creative generation in all fields.
