Amidst loud applause, the Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs greeted the theatrical acting team after the performance of “Les Misérables”

Amidst loud applause and a large student audience, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, congratulated the theatrical acting team that won the grand prize at the level of Arab and international universities within the activities of the Monastir International University Theater Festival in its 19th session, through the participation of the theatrical performance “Les Misérables”, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs.

In the presence of Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of the Alumni Associations Department, Prof. Ahmed Munib Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hatem Rabie, leader of the Students for Egypt family, coordinated by Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of Artistic Activity, Mrs. Hind Hamed, Head of the Performing Arts Department.

The students expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, for the great support provided by the education sector and students in bringing the team to this level among the ranks of Egyptian and Arab universities.

The theatrical acting team had won, for the first time at the level of Egyptian universities, the grand prize at the level of Arab and international universities within the activities of the Monastir International Festival for University Theater in its 19th session, through participation in the theatrical performance “Les Misérables”, which is a theatrical performance taken from the novel Les Misérables by Victor Hugo and was directed by Mahmoud Hassan Hagag (Grazi).

The show won the Best Scenography Award for Abu Bakr Al-Sharif, the Best Direction Award for director Mahmoud Hassan Haggag, the Best Actor in a Second Role Award for the student Muhammad Abdel Jalil, the Encouragement Award in Acting for the student Raymonda Zakhari, and the Grand Prize for Best Theatrical Performance. This award is the first of its kind that the university has received in international competitions and festivals.
