The Academy of Scientific Research announces applications for the 2023 State Awards

The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announced the application for state awards, which include the Nile Awards, the State Appreciation Awards, the State Awards for Excellence, and the State Incentive Award for the year 2023.

As follows:

1- The Nile Awards:

There are two awards: an award in science and an award in advanced technological sciences.

The value of each award is five hundred thousand pounds and a gold medal. It is not permissible to divide the award or give it to one person more than once.

2- The State Appreciation Awards:

There are ten awards: five in science in the fields of basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences, and five in advanced technological sciences that serve the fields of basic sciences, agricultural fields, medical fields, and engineering fields.

The value of each award is two hundred thousand pounds and a gold medal. The award may not be divided, nor may it be given to one person more than once.

3- State Awards for Excellence:

There are seven awards: one award in each of basic, agricultural, medical, and engineering sciences, and three awards in advanced technological sciences.

The value of each award is one hundred thousand pounds and a silver medal. The award may not be divided, nor may it be given to one person in the same branch more than once.

The right to nominate for the State Awards for Excellence belongs to the entities stipulated in the previous clause of this article. Individuals also have the right to apply directly for this award.

- The State Incentive Awards:

There are forty prizes distributed as follows:

Eleven awards are in the field of basic sciences, with three awards allocated to the branches of basic sciences in the field of mathematics, physics and geology, three awards for chemical sciences, three awards for biological sciences, and two awards for advanced technological sciences that serve the fields of basic sciences.

Ten awards in the field of agricultural sciences, with eight awards allocated in various branches of agricultural sciences and two awards in advanced technological sciences that serve agricultural fields.

Nine awards in the fields of medical sciences, including seven awards in various branches of medical sciences and two awards for advanced technological sciences that serve medical fields.

Ten awards in the fields of engineering sciences, including eight awards in various branches of engineering sciences and two awards in advanced technological sciences that serve engineering fields.

The value of each prize is fifty thousand pounds.

The academy also announced:

The Pioneer Awards are given to one of Egypt’s leading scientists who have distinguished achievements and are not recipients of the Nile Award. They number four awards in the fields of basic sciences, medical sciences, engineering sciences, and agricultural sciences.

The Women Appreciation Award is given to one of Egypt’s leading female scientists who have had social and economic scientific achievements that have a positive impact on society, the family, and the child, and who are not recipients of the Nile Award. There are four awards for agriculture and food sciences, health and pharmaceutical sciences, water, energy, environmental sciences, and social sciences.

In addition to four Incentive Awards for Women in the fields of agriculture and food sciences, health and pharmaceutical sciences, water, energy and environmental sciences, and social sciences.

Taking into account the following:

- The candidate for the Nile Award who receives the State Appreciation Award must have passed five years after it was awarded to him after one year of granting before he can be nominated for the Nile Award.

- The candidate for the State Appreciation Award who received the Excellence Award must have been awarded it five years after the year of granting, before being nominated for the Appreciation Award.

- Dear male and female candidates for the Pioneers and Women Appreciation Awards, five years must have passed since the year of obtaining any of the State Awards before being nominated for either award.
