Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, received a delegation from the University of Sharjah headed by Prof. Salah Taher Al-Hajj, Vice President of the University for Community Affairs, and Prof. Faker Al-Gharaibeh - Director of the Research Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (RIHS) and Director of the Center for Family and Child Studies, in the presence of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the University’s International Collaboration Sector, and Prof. Najwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, and Prof. Amani Osama, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Howaida Al-Jabali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, and Prof. Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of International Students and Mobility Office, and Prof. Aladdin Abdel Salam, Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Samar Rajab, from the Faculty of Education.
In a friendly and understanding meeting between the university administration, the attendees discussed ways of joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, student exchange, and quality of education. During the meeting, Prof. Salah Taher highlighted a number of bright points in the history of the University of Sharjah since its inception 25 years ago, reviewing a number of the University of Sharjah’s partnerships with international universities, noting the University of Sharjah’s advanced ranking globally.
He expressed the keenness of the University of Sharjah administration to conclude and activate a number of partnerships with various faculties of the prestigious Ain Shams University due to its leadership among Arab universities.
Prof. Ghada Farouk welcomed the cooperation with the University of Sharjah, especially in the areas of research, student activities, and the areas of refining, developing, and advancing students’ skills through the university’s twenty faculties.
She praised the efforts of the University's International Relations Sector and the University's Centers of Research Excellence, which cover various fields, including the "Egyptian Center for Medical Research, the Water Research Center, the Sustainable Energy Center, and other distinguished centers concerned with scientific research at the University."
During the meeting, all the deans reviewed the points of excellence in their colleges and explored the upcoming research cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides exchanged commemorative shields for the two universities.
