Announcement of the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in Life Sciences 2023

Nominations are now open for the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences 2023, which is a prize established by the Executive Board of UNESCO and funded by the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

The prize aims to honor and promote projects and activities by individuals, institutions, and non-governmental organizations working in the field of life sciences with the aim of improving the quality of human life, encouraging research, enhancing cooperation between researchers, and strengthening networks of centers of excellence in the life sciences.

It is a prize created by the Executive Board of UNESCO, to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as UNESCO’s global priorities.

The Prize is funded by the Republic of Equatorial Guinea and is awarded annually to a maximum of three winners. The UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize rewards significant research contributions in the life sciences.

Deadline for submitting approved nomination papers: October 15, 2023
