The Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs witnesses the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Science

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023 from the Faculty of Science, in the presence of Prof. Muhammad Rajaa, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations, the faculty deans and a group of former faculty deans, students and their families.

In his speech, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, expressed his happiness at being among this gathering of scholars with a rich CV of learning and applied science, and graduates of the Faculty of Science who see the sparkle of genius in their eyes, explaining that the Faculty of Science includes young geniuses who learned at the hands of older geniuses in the Ain Shams University family that supports science.

         
   
         

He pointed out that the saying that Ain Shams University is a difficult university is completely incorrect. Rather, it is a serious university. We are actually facing an integrated system at Ain Shams University in terms of science and various student activities. It also has five stars in the QS evaluation, stressing that we are lucky with our students, as they are the best students who receive education from the best scholars, even for international students.

He pointed out that most of the programs of the university’s faculties have obtained international accreditation or are in the process of obtaining it, noting that what was spent on the faculty during the past years stems from our absolute conviction and confidence in our students and their abilities.

He also called on the graduates to continue their education, as they now have the minimum level to begin learning and scientific research after learning from their professors the basics and methods of sound thinking and working under pressure, which will distinguish them from their peers from other universities in practical life.

         
   
         

He also called on the graduates to work on implementing their creative ideas and seize the opportunity to convince the political leadership of science and its importance, and to always affirm His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, that science is the path to the nation’s renaissance, so that they can serve their society and country and stay away from the claims of despair and frustration calling for immigration and not be led by it.

He explained that he has registered four patents in spinal surgeries, is the president of the International Society of Spinal Surgery, and gives many lectures in various countries of the world while inside Egypt, stressing that excellence always comes from within the country.

His Eminence concluded his speech to the graduates by saying that they should be proud of their graduation from the Faculty of Science, at Ain Shams University, asking them to communicate with the university and the Alumni Association and to be the best ambassadors for their faculty and university.

         
   
         

Prof. Mohamed Raja, Dean of the Faculty of Science, expressed his happiness and pride with the students’ participation in their graduation ceremony from Ain Shams University and the Faculty of Science, which has embraced them over the past four years, praising God Almighty, who blessed us with that moment in which they see harvesting the fruits of effort and fatigue, noting that the students were able to make Difficulties are a motivation to achieve the success they seek and the future that you and your family desire.

His Excellency thanked Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, for his continuous support for the college and for providing a personal scholarship and paying the expenses of the top three students in the second, third, and fourth years of the Applied Biotechnology program, in addition to his donation of 2 million pounds, to establish a laboratory in the new building at the Faculty of Science in the name of Prof. Muhammad Fathi Saoud and Prof. Suhair Ali Al-Najdi, former professors at the Faculty of Science, in commemoration of their dear memory.

   
   

He also thanked the parents for all the support they provided so that they could share with their children the most beautiful moments of their lives, pointing out that the efforts that have been made throughout the previous years are not just for graduation, as graduation is the true beginning of the journey of struggle to build yourselves and your future so that you are worthy of all the hopes and dreams of your family and your community, hoping to see faculty graduates hold the highest positions.

Also, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, Director of Alumni Associations at the University, praised that the Alumni Association continues to communicate with the faculty, reviewing the role of the Alumni Associations that were established 4 years ago at the university, in order to communicate and transfer experiences between graduates and the university, as the Association was keen to provide free training courses, in addition to employment forums, establishing forums for all Departments in the college to continuously transfer experiences from graduates to students, in addition to transferring models of success such as meeting with Prof. Farouk El-Baz, in addition to the association’s role in holding graduate celebrations for most faculties, in addition to issuing a card to graduates that gives them discounts in several areas.
