The International Conference of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems was launched on Tuesday, November 21, sponsored by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The opening of the conference was witnessed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Nagwa Badr, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences and Chair of the Conference, in the presence of Prof. Muhammad Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs, Prof. Ahmed Zaki Badr, former Minister of Education and Local Development, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of October 6 University, Prof. Eman Tharwat, Chairman of the Computer and Information Sector Committee, Prof. Hassan Abdullah, Academic Director of the University of East London, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Vice President of the Conference, Prof. Hala Mushir, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Tamer Mostafa, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, a group of conference guests from Egypt and a number of foreign countries, representatives of many international companies working in the field, professors, researchers, and students.
The Eleventh International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Information Systems included 15 sessions divided into two days and three workshops. It discussed 83 papers submitted by 350 researchers from different countries (England - France - the United States - Romania - India - Sri Lanka - Iraq - Algeria - Palestine - Egypt). The research covered the following topics:
-Artificial intelligence and VR applications.
-Robots and their applications
-Computer networks, forensics and cyber security
-Internet of things and smart computing
-Data science and knowledge discovery
-Bioinformatics and health informatics
-Software Engineering
- Applied artificial intelligence
The conference hosted 3 international speakers from major international universities from the United States of America, England, and Japan in the fields of computing, artificial intelligence, communications, cybersecurity, and data science. It also hosted speakers from industry to link scientific research and how to apply it.
Nearly 300 researchers and students attended the conference sessions over the two days.
The following are the conference's most important recommendations:
1. The impact of artificial intelligence, especially Generative AI, on education, health, and climate change, especially in light of crises and epidemics.
2. Textual analysis and linguistics to help identify fraud and deception with the increasing use of GPT
3. Using the Internet of Things in surgical operations, drug manufacturing, and disease diagnosis.
4. Paying attention to cybersecurity techniques to ensure higher data confidentiality and security.
5. The importance of promoting a culture of applied research and innovation and encouraging the transformation of research ideas into applications and patents to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the knowledge economy.
6. Interest in concluding agreements and protocols with industry to help transform scientific research into products
7. Interest in organizing international scientific conferences to motivate researchers to participate and exchange new ideas and innovations to support scientific research and raise the international rankings of universities.
