The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering receives a delegation from the British University of Exeter

Prof. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, received a delegation from the British University of Exeter, which includes Rof. Richard Follett, Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), University of Exeter, Alexandra Gerbasi, PVC for the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, Professor Peter Clack, Head of Global Partnerships, Dr. Rasha Kamal, Egyptian Cultural Attaché and Head of the Egyptian Cultural Office in London, Mr. Mark Haward, Head of the British Council Egypt, Mrs. Shaimaa Elbanna, Head of Scientific Programs at the British Council in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

         
   
         

In the presence of Prof. Akram Farouk, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Sherweit El-Ahmady, Director of the International Students Department, Prof. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and a group of faculty staff.

The delegation's visit to the Faculty of Engineering comes within the framework of its visit to a number of university faculties to discuss and enhance joint cooperation.

During the meeting, prospects for future cooperation in the fields of scientific research, exchange of academic expertise, and benefiting from shared experiences in the fields of higher education and scientific research were discussed, especially with regard to linking higher education and scientific research with the needs of industry and the requirements of the labor market, whether at the local, regional, or international level, as well as benefiting from the University of Exeter's experience in promoting collaboration with industrial partners.

   
   

The delegation visited Lu Pen’s workshop, the idea of ​​which is based on the concept of education (engineering - practice - creativity - the project), which gives the student an engineering education through practical practices and improving his analytical skills, to reach the stage of creativity that is applicable in another project.

The delegation also visited the acoustics laboratory, which is equipped with the latest devices and equipment in the field of acoustics and vibration.
