The President of Ain Shams University witnesses the closing of the Students for Egypt League activities

Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the closing of the activities of the “Champions for Egypt” five-a-side football tournament, which was organized by the Students for Egypt family and the University Students Union, in the presence of Captain Hazem Emam, a member of the Football Association and the former Zamalek star and Egyptian national team player.

Captain Hazem Imam scored the kick-off for the final match between the “Students for Egypt” team and the “Hani Attia Stars” team, which witnessed a large crowd in attendance.

The “Hani Attia Stars” team won first place with a win reward of a total of 8,000 pounds, the second place went to the “Students for Egypt” team with a win reward of a total of 6,400 pounds, while the third place was won by the Legend team with a win reward of a total of 4,800 pounds. The tournament’s top scorer cup was won by student Youssef Muhammad Ali, top scorer of the “Hani Attia Stars” team.

In his speech, Prof. Muhammad Dia, President of the University, thanked Captain Hazem Imam for accepting the invitation to attend the closing activities, directing the students to take Captain Hazem Imam, the excellent athlete, as role models in investing time and achieving athletic excellence.

He indicated his happiness with these student activities, which are an integral part of university life and develop students’ ability to communicate and create a conscious future.

Captain Hazem Emam expressed his happiness at being at the prestigious Ain Shams University and wished success to the players and his hope to see them as important cadres in Egyptian sports in the future.

At the end of the match, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, Captain Hazem, in front of the Egyptian football star, honored the teams that won the first three places and presented them with medals and rewards.

The “Champions for Egypt” tournament in five-a-side football was held on the student fields of the Faculties of Business, Pharmacy, and University City, and 256 teams with a total of 2,048 players from the various faculties of the university participated in it, using a knockout system.
