Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University, participates in the fifteenth General Assembly of the Conference of Presidents of Francophone Universities in the Middle East, in Qatar.

Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University, participated at the fifteenth General Assembly of the Conference of Francophone University Rectors in the Middle East (CONFREMO) and the First General Assembly of the Conference of University Rectors in the Middle East (CR2); It is organized for the first time in the State of Qatar, where the event was hosted by Qatar University.

         
   
         

Prof. Ghada Farouk expressed her happiness at a forum that brings together the presidents of Francophone universities in the region to represent a diverse range of knowledge and experience, explaining that since Ain Shams University joined the University Agency for Francophonie, it has worked to be compatible with its policy of being an active member in every academic network of which it is a part. The rectors of the region's leading Francophone universities held sessions to discuss areas of common interest to French-speaking universities in the changing global landscape.

Her Excellency expressed her hope that Ain Shams University would serve as a platform for these discussions and that we would emerge from this event with recommendations that would enable it to serve universities in the region.

In the same context, Salim Khalbous, President of the University Agency of Francophonie, said, “The University Agency of Francophonie is considered one of the most important agencies, and there are many universities that express their desire to join the University Agency of Francophonie, and we are very happy with this multilingual trend.”

 

         
     
         

For his part, Jean-Noel Balliot, Regional Director of the University Agency of Francophonie in the Middle East, pointed out that the speakers at the conference will address a wide range of important topics, calling on the participants to engage in a constructive and fruitful discussion about them.

Lara Karam Al-Bustani, President of the Conference of Francophone University Rectors in the Middle East, also pointed out the major role that artificial intelligence plays in the labor market, university curricula, and the evaluation of our professors and educators within the scientific Francophonie, in light of the requirements for quality assurance and university classifications, pointing out that there are many stakeholders involved at the meeting.
