The Urology Unit at the Faculty of Medicine organized the fourth workshop of the Urology Department on benign prostatic hyperplasia, under the title “Current Challenges and Future Directions” at the Training and Educational Development Center at Ain Shams University Hospitals, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, and Prof. Essam Fakhry, Director of Al-Demerdash Surgical Hospital.
In the presence of Prof. Hassan Shaker, Head of the Urology Department at Al-Demerdash Surgical Hospital, Prof. Tarek Othman, Professor of Urology at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and an elite group of professors from the Urology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
The workshop’s activities include lectures delivered by a distinguished elite of urology surgeons, and a live broadcast from the operating room for all types of operations used for prostate surgeries, vaporization operations, and laser operations, as well as practical training for the participating doctors on simulators for prostate endoscopic operations.
The workshop, which was held in cooperation with the Egyptian Society of Urology Surgeons, was broadcast online, in which it presented the latest developments and international recommendations in urological surgeries and the latest medical findings in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The workshop was held among a group of doctors specialized in the field of urology, and the training workshop is scheduled to last for two days.
