In commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the victories of the October 1973 War, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the Education and Students Sector, is organizing an educational symposium entitled “Homeland and Belonging.” Under the auspices of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University and Vice President of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
The symposium hosted the strategic expert, His Excellency Major General Staff Officer. Dr. Samir Faraj, at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, September 21, in the university’s large conference hall next to the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The symposium was moderated by Khaled Saad, chief broadcaster on Egyptian television.
The symposium comes within the activities of the university’s cultural season, which is organized by the sectors of community service affairs, environmental development, education, and student affairs, and coordinated by Prof. Jihan Rajab, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and Mr. Ibrahim Saeed, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and in cooperation with the ASU Media Center headed by Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Director of the ASU Media Center.
