The Faculty of Mass Communication won second place in the Community Initiatives Competition out of a total of 39 teams at the university level, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Heba Shaheen, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Prof. Salwa Suleiman, Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
The idea of the initiative revolves around spreading awareness of sports culture to achieve one of the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which is good health for every individual.
The winning team consisted of four students: Karen Ibrahim, Shahad Zaher Abdel Azim, Omar Adel, and Abdel Rahman Ahmed.
This came under the supervision of Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, Director General of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, and Dr. Nada Mounir, Director of the Innovation Unit at the Faculty of Mass Communication.
The Faculty of Mass Communication participated in four groups with ideas for various initiatives of interest to Egyptian society.
Initiative ideas for the Faculty of Mass Communication teams include (raising awareness of sports culture - our products are our pride - encouraging consumption of Egyptian products - the importance of industrial education - and a mental health project).
