Within the framework of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between Egyptian public universities and private universities, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ashraf Muhammad Al-Shehi, President of Badr University in Cairo, signed a memorandum of understanding between the two universities, to develop academic cooperation and enhance mutual understanding between Both parties.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Prof. Nevin Assem, Director of the Training and Development Center at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Amr Al-Etreby, Vice President of Badr University for International Relations, Community Service Affairs, and Environmental Development, Prof. Mahmoud Fahmy, Vice President of Badr University for Graduate Studies and Research.
The two parties agreed to develop comprehensive cooperation in academic fields of common interest in the following areas of cooperation:
- Exchange of faculty staff and teaching assistants
- Training programs and courses in all fields through the Training and Development Center at Ain Shams University (planning - implementation - participation).
- Consulting experience in areas of common interest.
- Research, scientific theses, and educational development projects.
- Participation in international projects funded by foreign parties as partners.
- Holding and organizing conferences, seminars, and scientific discussions, participating in development initiatives and projects, and serving the local and regional community.
A coordinator has been identified for each university to follow up on the implementation and applying of what was stated in the agreement, and to submit a semi-annual report to the management of each university, where Prof. Nevin Assem Attia Ishaat, Director of the Training and Development Center at Ain Shams University, Coordinator of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Amr Ibrahim Abdel Rahman Al-Etreby, Vice President of Badr University for International Relations, Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Coordinator of Badr University.
