Within the activities of the Healthy Lifestyle Initiative, which is organized by the Department of Community Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University and the University Hospitals, a symposium was held entitled “Healthy Lifestyle: Towards a Better Healthy Life,” in addition to a day of sports walking for a full hour in Arab Al-Mohammadi Garden on the campus of the Faculty of Medicine, with the participation of a number of faculty staff, workers, and students, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and under the supervision of Prof. Hala Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Iman Bakr, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, and organized by Dr. Nanis Ismail and Dr. Fatima Makki.
The symposium addressed awareness of daily healthy habits, clarifying the difference between a healthy and unhealthy lifestyle and the components of a healthy lifestyle with regard to (healthy food - regular physical activity - dealing with life stressors and healthy sleep), while correcting some misconceptions, misconceptions and unhealthy habits.
Assistant Lecturer. Nourhan Badr, Dr. Omar Matar, Dr. Abeer Abdel Salam and Dr. Hebat Allah Osama, gave lectures at the symposium. The coordination was done by Prof. Nanis Ismail and Prof. Fatima Makki, and in the presence and participation of the department professors and supporting teams.
