The Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University announced the conditions for applying for the competition awards, which is organized by the graduate studies and research sector at the level of faculty staff and the faculty’s teaching assistants, under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and the supervision and coordination of Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice President of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, who stressed that the idea of offering awards comes in line with the vision of the Faculty and the sector in achieving fair competition in order to improve the quality of performance of the faculty staff and teaching assistants, and to support scientific research, which in turn contributes to raising the Faculty’s international classification.
The conditions for nomination for the award are:
First: with regard to faculty staff:
1-The applicant for the award must be a faculty staff at the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University.
2- The research must be published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, and its publication date must not exceed three years before the date of submission.
3-The research must not have previously won any award.
4- It is not permissible to submit more than one research paper by the applicant.
5- The research must be characterized by modernity, originality, quality of wording, and clarity of style.
6- For research written in foreign languages, research in any foreign language is accepted.
Second: Members of teaching assistants:
Award conditions:
1- The applicant for the award must be a member of the teaching assistants at the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University.
2- The thesis must have been discussed during the academic year 2023/2024.
3- The thesis must not have won any award before.
4-The research must be characterized by modernity, originality, quality of wording, and clarity of style.
Applying for the awards also requires the availability of these documents:
- A copy of the thesis.
- Three summaries in Arabic.
Documents must be submitted to the office of the Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research no later than 3/15/2024.
The winners also receive (a certificate of appreciation + a medal + a financial reward).
