Chairman of the Planning and Budget Committee of the House of Representatives, guest of the symposium “The Egyptian Economy and Available Development Opportunities” at the Faculty of Arts

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, on Wednesday at the Faculty of Arts, received Prof. Fakhri Al-Feki, Chairman of the Planning and Budget Committee of the House of Representatives, prior to the symposium hosted by the Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, entitled “The Egyptian Economy and Available Development Opportunities,” in the presence of Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Heba Shaheen, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Mass of Communication, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hatem Rabie, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

During the meeting, the University President welcomed Prof. Fakhri Al-Feki to the Faculty of Arts to discuss the economic future and current and potential challenges.

         
   
         

His Excellency also reviewed the development projects at the university and the appropriate preparation and planning for them, most notably the Medical City project, indicating that they are near completion.

During the symposium, Prof. Fakhri Al-Feki presented an analysis of the current economic situation, the causes and challenges, and the efforts made by the government and the state for economic reform by taking more than one measure to reduce inflation and provide social protection.

The symposium received great interaction from the audience, as many questions were raised, all of which were answered.

At the conclusion of the symposium, Prof. Fakhri Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, presented the Faculty Shield to Prof. Fakhri Al-Feki, thanking him for this rich symposium.

         
   
         

It is noteworthy that Prof. Fakhri Al-Feki is a professor of economics and political science, a former assistant executive director of the International Monetary Fund and currently head of the Plan and Budget Committee in the House of Representatives.
