Within the framework of the Ain Shams University administration’s keenness to carry out its societal role, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector is organizing a comprehensive development convoy in Qena Governorate in the village of Al-Mafarjiya - Qus Center, under the patronage of Major General Pilot Staff Officer. Ashraf Gharib Al-Daoudi, Governor of Qena, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, from 26 to 28 December.
The convoy is held in coordination with Prof. Hala Samir Sweid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Tariq Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, under the supervision of Major General. Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing are participating in the convoy.
The convoy’s clinics include the specialties of “general internal medicine, nose, ear, children, bones, skin, heart, brain, nerves, ophthalmia, chest, and gynecology,” in addition to the convoy pharmacy, which provides its pharmaceutical service free of charge. The convoy’s activities also include several awareness campaigns and tests for those freed from illiteracy under the supervision of the General Authority for Adult Education and the Center for Education.
