Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of the University, seeks to support initiatives to enhance the capabilities of youth and empower them in various fields, especially in the field of sustainable development, which comes within the framework of the university’s commitment to implementing the initiatives of the Presidency of the Republic to empower youth and raise their capabilities, as the initiative represents “Be an ambassador” for sustainable development is one of these initiatives, which was launched by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in cooperation with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development in 2020.
Several Ain Shams University youths who were members of the teaching assistants were honored, and who received accreditation as trainers in the field of sustainable development under the “Be an ambassador” initiative. The Faculty of Education was distinguished by honoring four members of its supporting staff and obtaining accreditation as trainers in this important field.
Honoring several young people from Ain Shams University as trainers in the field of sustainable development, under the “Be an ambassador” initiative, constitutes an important step towards building the national capabilities of young people and empowering them in this vital field. This initiative confirms the university's commitment to supporting and developing academic cadres and enhancing its role in promoting the path of sustainable development, in accordance with the globally agreed upon sustainable development goals.
