Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the first batch of certified trainers who received the 100 Certified Trainers Scholarship, which was launched by the National Center for Training and Leadership Development at the Supreme Council of Universities last January.

This came under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, in the presence of Prof. Mona Hagras, Assistant Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and the members of the Supreme Accreditation Committee, headed by Prof. Nasser Al-Gizawi, President of Benha University.

Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Ashour Omari, Director of the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation, presented certificates and a certified trainer license for 100 trainees from the faculty members of various Egyptian universities.

   
   

During the celebration, Prof. Ghada Farouk explained that the launch of the national project for training and preparing leaders aims to develop the professional skills of leaders through programs specifically designed to enhance the capabilities of trainees in various institutions, and to develop capabilities to enable them to perform their work in a professional manner that is reflected in increasing levels of productivity and efficiency in their institutions, in order to meet the requirements and developments within The labor market worldwide.

In his speech, Prof. Mustafa Refaat said that the launch of the “National Project for Training and Leadership Preparation” aims to improve the training and leadership preparation system in Egyptian universities, and ensure the excellence and efficiency of the training packages and programs provided in them, as well as ensuring the competence of the trainers working in those centers by establishing a mechanism to accredit trainers in accordance with modern standards, as well as reviewing the infrastructure. The basic equipment for training centers, and licensing them to practice the activity, in accordance with the standards approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.

   
   

He stressed that this project is consistent with the “National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt, which was launched in March 2023,” to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030 by building the scientific and humanitarian personality of a wide sector of young people, whether in universities or higher institutes, as well as graduates through programs Qualification and training, so that it is able to carry out its mission in society and bear responsibility towards the nation, pointing out that training is one of the important axes and main tools that contribute to achieving the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Because of its vital role in qualifying and developing human cadres and refining their skills in various fields, to ensure the preparation of qualified and trained forces with the skills and capabilities that qualify them to keep pace with the requirements of the renewed labor market, and to participate in public life, in a way that ensures the preservation of the capabilities of future generations.

Dr. Ashour Omari, Director of the National Center for Training and Preparation of University Leaders, added that the Supreme Council of Universities has approved the establishment of the National Center for Training and Preparation of Leaderships as a national reference for accrediting trainers, approving training portfolios, and licensing centers inside and outside universities, which means meeting the needs of the current generation of skills required by the current market and future work according to an international reference that takes into account the capabilities of Egyptian society and the requirements of the local and international community, in conjunction with the Egyptian political leadership’s efforts to improve the system of higher education and scientific research in Egypt, and based on the fact that education and training are a basic human right.

For their part, the trainees praised the technically, technologically and scientifically advanced level and the skills that keep pace with international standards, which were provided to them by the National Center for Training and Leadership Preparation at the Supreme Council of Universities, which opens new horizons for them for training locally and in the Arab world with the highest level of competence and experience.
