The Faculty of Specific Education launches a comprehensive development convoy in Qalyubia Governorate

On Saturday, March 2, the comprehensive development caravan was launched, organized by the Faculty of Specific Education, at Ain Shams University, Qalyubia Governorate, in cooperation with the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, the University’s Adult Education Center, and the General Authority for Adult Education, under the patronage of Major General Abdel Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Farag, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Affairs.

         
   
         

The convoy included good services in various specialties for the people of the villages, including ophthalmology, internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, children, and nose and ear, while providing them with the necessary medicines.

It also included a clothing campaign, distributing more than 1,200 pieces of clothing, and distributing more than 300 food cartons to the people of the village.

Technical workshops were also provided to make and how to print textiles on clothes and deliver these clothes to village children.

In the same context, the Literacy Eradication Unit set up a level assessment and surveyed more than 50 women from the two villages in cooperation with the University’s General Authority for Adult Education. Some seminars and awareness-raising activities were held for the village’s people, in addition to presenting a workshop on nutrition and how to benefit from it, under the supervision of Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Nutrition and Food Sciences.
