A delegation from the British University of Essex visits the Networks and Information Technology Center and the Development of Educational Strategies and Research Center at the university

As part of Ain Shams University’s endeavor to build bridges of communication between it and international universities, a delegation from the British University of Essex visited the Center for Networks and Information Technology and the Center for Development of Educational Strategies and Research at the university during its visit to Ain Shams University, where they were received by Prof. Muhammad Zia Zain Al-Abidin, President of the University, earlier today to discuss ways of cooperation.

   
   

Prof. Mona Abdel-Al Al-Zahri, Director of the Developing Educational Strategies and Research Center at the University, an overview of Ain Shams University’s efforts in digital transformation and Ain Shams University’s educational platforms, “ASU2Learn e-learning portal, ASU2Test e-assessment platform, and measurement and evaluation tools that are the result of development management efforts.” Education at Ain Shams University and the implementation of these platforms has advanced in providing a distinct and integrated educational experience for all students at various levels, from the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as blended education students. Her Excellency also shed light on the role of international partnerships in developing and supporting the system and refining the skills of faculty members.

She also stressed that Ain Shams University has been keen for years to develop curricula and learning methods, which was reflected in the development of future skills among university students, based on methods of integrating virtual applications and educational tools that help in the distance learning process, which appeared clearly during the Corona pandemic, which helped in developing methods. Distance learning and the use of modern technology and technical means to continue the educational process in a better way.

   
   

During the British University of Essex delegation’s tour of the Networking Centre, Prof. Rasha Ismail, Director of the electronic portal of Ain Shams University and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences for Postgraduate Studies and Research, introduced the center, its departments and units, and the activities and services it provides.

The visit also included an inspection of the university's management system, the university's electronic portal unit, the reading laboratories, the center's conference hall, the Shams unit, the data center, and the computer laboratories.
