In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, emphasized that the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University has reached a stage that we are all proud of, as it has been internationally accredited. His Excellency also saluted the parents for what they endured during the study period, and Prof. Mohamed Daia Zain El-Abedeen delivered a speech to the graduates in which he stressed that they must keep a goal in mind as one page has ended and another has begun in their lives, in which they will not stop developing and training. There is always something new, especially in the field of dentistry, so it is always necessary to keep up with everything new in order to themselves and to serve their patients who are entrusted to you.
He also stressed that the relationship between the graduate and the college did not end once he graduated, but rather took a different form. There is constant communication between the graduates and the college through the University Alumni Association, which the university is keen on having a lasting relationship with its graduates, of whom it is proud.
Prof. Dalia Al-Qurashi, Acting Dean of the Faculty, confirmed that the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University has been destined for success and distinction since its inception and in all its steps. Successive college administrations have spared no effort and never tired of striving for the best throughout their lifetime, and this could not have happened except with the effort and dedication of the faculty administration, faculty staff, and all administrators and faculty employees.
Pointing out that no matter how many successes the faculty has achieved, the greatest success we are proudest of is our graduates, yesterday’s students and today’s colleagues.
Today is the result of years of fatigue, effort and staying up late. You have done everything in your power to be on this platform today and to begin a new phase of your professional life and to play your role in society.
She added that the students’ relationship with the college did not end at this stage, as the college graduate will remain one of its children, and the college will continue to support, support, and embrace him throughout his professional life, whether through graduate studies, the alumni association, continuing education, or any kind of support you may need.
Prof. Karim El Batouti, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the Fcaulty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University has become, after years of work and effort from successive administrations that assumed responsibility for managing the college over the past years, a beacon of dental education in Egypt, the Arab world, and even the world, and a target for students of science in the field of dentistry. Students from fifty countries around the world come to the college from Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
He added that we are celebrating the end of an important stage in our students’ educational lives, which is the bachelor’s stage, but the road is still long, offering advice to students not to think that it is the end, but rather it is just the beginning. The beginning of a practical life, work and effort, as local and international graduate studies are still your goal, and scientific research is a door through which you must enter. Do not forget that the wheel of development in science does not stop and that continuing education in college and outside it, locally and internationally, is the most important in the next stage, so that you maintain this scientific level that you have reached. It is a level that I claim is the best at the local and regional levels.
As explained by Prof. Tarek Salah El-Din, Chairman of the Dentistry Sector Committee, that the Egyptian Health Council is responsible for issuing the license to practice the profession, which will be renewed every five years, in accordance with educational and training activities in order for the license to be renewed, in addition to the necessity of having the necessary qualifications to obtain the title of specialist or consultant.
