The Education and Student Affairs Sector Council at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, held its fifth session, Tuesday, April 23.
His Excellency began the Council by congratulating Prof. Khaled Hamdi Abdel Rahman - former Dean of the Faculty of Law and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for appointing His Excellency as President of Al-Ahram Canadian University, with His Excellency offering his sincere wishes for success, prosperity, and further progress.
The Council discussed a number of topics, including approving the minutes of the previous session in its session held on 3/19/2024. The Council also reviewed the report on the university’s preparations for the second semester exams for the academic year 2023/2024 for presentation to the University Council.
Also reviewing the letter received from the Faculty of Arts regarding information about the schedules for the mid-term exams of the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024 during the period from (March 24 until the end of April), which is conducted electronically in the university laboratories at the Faculty of Al-Alsun in coordination through the University’s Education Development Department, in addition to approving the minutes of the Standing Committee at its session held on April 2, 2024, and approving the rules regulating excuses and suspending enrollment for students for presentation to the University Council.
There is also approval for the automation of graduate services provided through the General Administration of Education and Student Affairs, including foreign authentication and delivery of certificates in their various categories to the addresses registered by the graduate in the electronic application, whether inside Egypt through colleges or outside Egypt in cooperation with the Egyptian Post and the mechanism for sealing envelopes and authenticating them with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs abroad through public administration, recommending the speedy preparation of this matter.
Also, Prof. Mona Abdel-Al Al-Zahri, Executive Director of the University’s Education Development Department, presented a package of measures that were prepared to achieve the maximum quality of electronic tests for the academic year 2023/2024.
