Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development, received on behalf of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abedeen, President of the University, Assistant Vice President of the University of Waterloo in Canada for Scientific Research and International Relations to discuss ways of cooperation between the two universities through submitting joint projects and exchanging students and faculty members. Teaching, supporting bodies and administrators.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the University’s International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, Prof. Neven Assem, Executive Director of the University’s Training and Innovation Sector, Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Prof. Sherweit Al-Ahmady, Director of the international students and mobility office and Visiting Professors Department at the University.
During the meeting, Prof. Ghada Farouk expressed the university’s welcome to strengthening cooperation between the two sides, stressing that this meeting represents an important starting point for enhancing cooperation between the two prestigious academic institutions, looking forward to building a sustainable partnership that benefits students and researchers at both universities.
Her Excellency stressed that Ain Shams University pays great attention to opening horizons of cooperation with prestigious international universities, as these partnerships are considered one of the most important engines of academic and cultural development. The university is keen on cooperation in various academic and research fields.
Following the reception, a meeting was held with the directors of the centers in the innovation and training sector (Innovation and Creativity Center - Career Center - Training and Development Center), which are the centers concerned with cooperation, to discuss ways of cooperation and progress on joint projects, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Career Center, and Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the iHUB center.
