Vice President of Ain Shams University follows up on the performance of international publishing, the Scholarships Welfare Office, and the university’s international classification

The Graduate Studies and Research Sector at Ain Shams University organized a meeting headed by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, to find out the latest updates and follow-up regarding international publishing, the Scholarship Welfare Office, and the university’s international classification department.

During the meeting, the challenges and obstacles facing scientific research and international publishing and mechanisms for overcoming them were discussed, while setting a future plan.

The tasks of the Scholarship Welfare Office were also presented, proposals were discussed, solutions to obstacles were developed, and attendees were listening to the suggestions and comments of the attendees.

Prof. Ghada Farouk stressed the necessity of uniting and integrating the efforts of the concerned departments to pay attention to the quality of international publishing as one of the most important foundations of international classification and a pillar of scientific research. She emphasized that every research bearing the name of Ain Shams University raises its ranking internationally, and that the university advances year after year thanks to encouraging its researchers to publish internationally.

Her Excellency also directed the need to review the criteria for rewards and the incentive value of awards granted in the field of scientific publishing.

She emphasized the university's interest in holding workshops to hone the basic skills needed by researchers in various research fields, contribute to creating an interactive climate among researchers from different sectors, and build research cadres, which will have an impact on the quality of the number of scientific research published internationally.
