The committee is responsible for preparing the national plan for integrated management of climate and air quality, coordinating with the concerned authorities, providing general guidance, ensuring compatibility with the specific strategy for their sectors, coordinating within their entities with the relevant departments and units, including the newly established climate change unit, and sharing all information and data to prepare the plan in a timely manner. the appropriate.

In addition to coordinating with other committees working in the field of air quality management and climate change issues, such as the Black Cloud Committee and the National Climate Change Strategy Committee, to achieve consistency, the goal is to develop the mitigation options found in the plan and submit them to the Council of Ministers to take the necessary measures.
