Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Hossam Tantawi, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, announced that the faculty had completed the examinations for the bachelor’s and postgraduate levels in all of the faculty’s programs in two stages: the first for bachelor’s, which ended on June 5, and the second for graduate studies on the 11th of the same month, and the results were monitored and announced electronically within the framework of digital transformation. The general success rate in the second level was 97.35%, and the success rates in its programs ranged between: 94.1% in the Museum and Archaeological Sites Management Program, 94.2% in the Greek and Roman Antiquities Program, 98.1% in the Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Program, and 100% in the Programs. Islamic antiquities, archaeology and excavations, and archaeological and heritage information systems.
The general success rate in the third level reached 99.38%, with percentages in its programs ranging between: 99.61% in the Islamic Antiquities Program, and 100% in the programs of Ancient Egyptian Antiquities, Greek and Roman Antiquities, Archeology and Excavations, and Management of Museums and Archaeological Sites.
Prof. Ahmed Al-Shawki, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stated that the examinations for postgraduate programs have been completed, and this includes the following programs: (MA and Diploma in Ancient Egyptian Antiquities, MA in Islamic Antiquities, MA in Greek and Roman Antiquities, Master and Diploma in Archeology and Excavation Sciences, Master and Diploma in Museum Management). and archaeological sites).
The success rate in the master’s programs ranged between: 100% in the Master’s program in Egyptian Antiquities, Greek and Roman Antiquities, and Archeology and Excavation Sciences, 96% in the Master’s in Museum and Archaeological Site Management, and 85.7% in the Master’s in Islamic Antiquities.
Dr. mentioned. Ghada Fayed, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, said that the college - in compliance with the directives of the university administration and in accordance with the decisions of the Faculty Council regarding electronic marking - has completed the marking of all exams at the end of the second semester of the bachelor’s degree, with a total number of 5,120 exam papers for 147 exams. There are 64 exams for the first level, 43 exams for the second level, and 40 exams for the third level.
In addition to this, electronic marking for the diploma stage in postgraduate studies, whether at the first or second level, totals 253 exam papers for 42 subjects, with 165 exam papers for 23 subjects at the first level, and 88 exam papers for 19 subjects at the second level.
Her Excellency added that the role of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit extended to evaluating all examination papers for both stages in terms of format and wording of questions, as well as extracting reports and data on students’ results and comparing their grades, and reports on analysis of the test and its questions.
