The Graduate Studies Council holds its closing session headed by the Vice President of the University

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Council for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs held its final meeting for the academic year 2023/2024, headed by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, in the presence of the Vice Presidents of Graduate Studies at the university’s faculties and the Council members. At the beginning of the session, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University, greeted the attendees and thanked and congratulated them for the efforts made during the academic year in the presence of a group of deputies and members of the esteemed council to improve the level of services provided by the graduate studies and research sector in all its fields.

The session began with the approval of the work of the previous session and the minutes of the meeting of the Standing Committee for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

A number of decisions related to the educational and research system at the university and the graduate studies sector at the faculties were also discussed, in addition to a number of topics, including the necessity of continuing and directing support for the university’s international publishing.

The Council also discussed the topics proposed by the Supreme Council of Universities, including the unified guide for intellectual property policies in public universities.

The report of the committee formed to prepare a proposal to study referral paths for scientific production submitted by faculty staff.

The Council also discussed the directives issued regarding the way forward for possessing quantum technology in the field of communications and information technology.

The Council discussed the marketing proposal for scientific equipment in universities to increase the universities’ own resources.

He reviewed the memorandum on examining the possibility of transferring paper messages to another place that can be used or disposed of permanently, as there is no need for them in the center’s networks and information center.

At the conclusion of the session, the Council delegated Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies, to discuss the topics presented to it during the period when the Council was not in session.
