Delivering the military service exemption certificates to the disabled students as part of the “Forsan Al Erada” initiative in cooperation between Ain Shams University and the Armed Forces Recruitment and Mobilization Department

Within the framework of the Egyptian state's interest, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in people with special needs and working to empower them and overcome all the difficulties they face, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Mohamed Sobhi Mahna, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, handed over certificates of exemption from conscription to students with disabilities after a medical examination was conducted on them by sending a recruitment committee from the Recruitment and Mobilization Department in Cairo to determine their eligibility for exemption, in order to achieve the new vision of Ain Shams University to care for students with disabilities, achieve sufficient support, and provide all services that would facilitate their university life.

During his speech, the President of Ain Shams University expressed his deep appreciation for all the sincere efforts made to serve this country, and specifically mentioned the efforts related to caring for and empowering university students with special needs... the People of determination and resolve, calling them "Knights of Will"

His Excellency also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Major General Mohamed Sobhi Mahna - Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department in the Armed Forces for his efforts to stand today among our sons with special needs to put a new line in the future to achieve the vision of the new Ain Shams University.

His Excellency stressed that a society that values ​​its children with special abilities and provides them with all possible support and care is the society closest to achieving the highest rates of development, progress and comprehensive renaissance in all fields. It is a society that raises the status of its children and appreciates their achievements, and sees their empowerment, integration and facilitation in various areas of life as a noble and lofty goal.

His Excellency also extended his thanks and appreciation to the education and student sector, represented by Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and his work team for their efforts in the field of caring for students with disabilities and launching the "Knights of Will" initiative.

Prof. The University President also paid tribute to all students with disabilities and their families, and also paid tribute to the Egyptian Armed Forces and the Recruitment and Mobilization Department for their support today to the Knights of Will from Ain Shams University. During his speech, Major General Mohamed Sobhi Mahna, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, extended the greetings of His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces. His Excellency also expressed his happiness to be in the halls of the oldest Egyptian university, Ain Shams University, which is full of many distinguished and prominent graduates in various fields that have influenced Egyptian, Arab and international society.

His Excellency added that youth are a wealth that the country abounds with, and we derive from them determination and challenge, believing in their ability to shape the present and future of the country.

His Excellency stressed that meeting the demands of people of determination is a duty and an obligation on every official, and that the Egyptian Armed Forces are part of the fabric of this country and are keen to provide all facilities for students with disabilities.

Major General Mohamed Sobhi Mahna pointed out the interest of the General Command of the Armed Forces and its directives to provide more facilities for the sons of the country and not burden them with any burdens and take into account the human and social dimension to reduce the burden of transportation and the hardship of travel and frequenting recruitment areas, as it is possible to send special committees to the place of residence for cases that find it difficult to move or health necessity requires it and without any financial fees.

His Excellency saluted the fathers and mothers of the Knights of Will and also all the sincere efforts of those responsible for educating and qualifying the great youth of Egypt.

The Innovators Differently "Benshouf" Choral Group presented musical pieces led by Maestro Ahmed Salem, Professor at the Faculty of Specific Education.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Mohamed Sobhi Mahna, Director of the Recruitment and Mobilization Department, exchanged shields, and handed over to all students with disabilities their certificates of exemption from recruitment, memorial photos were also taken with the students and their families.
