Coinciding with the International Literacy Day, the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University organize a conference entitled "Adult Education in Emergencies and Crises", under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and the presidency of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the conference rapporteur, Dr. Islam El-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at the University.
The conference will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 (online) from 7 to 10 pm Cairo time, with the possibility of participants obtaining a certificate of attendance at the conference.
The conference includes a group of people interested in educational affairs in general and adult education in particular, the issues and problems of adult education, in addition to pointing out the best practices in the field of adult education, leading to the development of visions and strategies to ensure the quality of adult education programs.
The conference will discuss the nature of emergencies and crises, the problems of adults in emergencies and crises, in addition to preparing adult teachers, along with programs to empower women and people with special needs in these cases, the requirements for the quality of adult education programs in emergencies and crises, strategies and digital alternatives for adult education programs in emergencies, life curricula for adults, and dealing with psychological setbacks after crises.
