Ain Shams University is pleased to announce the provision of 1,000 free examinations through the launch of telemedicine clinics (online audio and video consultations) in 6 specialties, under the supervision of university professors.
This initiative, sponsored by Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, aims to provide healthcare follow-up services for patients with chronic diseases.
The initiative covers six main medical specialties, which are:
•Pediatrics
•Rheumatology
•Immunology
•Dermatology
•Gastroenterology
•Thoracic Diseases
The initiative is completely free for patients (for a limited period), and contributes to improving the follow-up of chronic diseases, leading to better health outcomes.
International and local research has proven that continuous patient care through telemedicine contributes to reducing the number of outpatient visits, which reduces the carbon footprint and pollution. Research has also shown that continuous patient care through telemedicine leads to better health outcomes, reduces complications, relieves pressure on caregivers, improves the health and well-being of patients, and increases their satisfaction with the medical services provided.
Ain Shams University is committed to improving healthcare services in Egypt and the region, and has provided telemedicine services since 2018. The university continues its efforts to improve the quality and reach of its services, and these services have been accredited by the American Accreditation Commission for Telemedicine (URAC), making Ain Shams University the first telemedicine service provider outside the United States to receive this prestigious accreditation.
This initiative is also an important step towards enhancing healthcare in Egypt and providing specialized services to patients across the country and the region.
