An introductory meeting for new students at the Faculty of Archaeology

The Faculty of Archaeology at Ain Shams University organized an introductory meeting about the faculty’s programs for new students for the academic year 2024-2025, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty, and coordination of Dr. Nawal Jaber, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed the new students who chose to join the Faculty of Archaeology, which is one of the faculties of the prestigious Ain Shams University, noting that this will be a turning point in their lives, wishing them success.

His Excellency stressed that their study period is an opportunity to participate in various university activities, build their character and form friendships that will continue with them throughout their lives. He added that they should keep the needs of the labor market in mind when choosing the academic program they wish to join.

Dr. Nawal Jaber praised the large turnout of students and parents, and thanked the faculty administration, represented by Prof. Hossam Tantawi, for their keenness to organize these seminars, the activities of which include a set of tips for new students that must be followed during their university life.

The introductory meeting included representatives of the college’s departments and programs, who gave students brief presentations about each program and department separately, and answered all questions from the students. An explanation was provided of the method of applying for each program, its conditions, the importance of the programs and their relationship to the labor market, and that all procedures will be clarified on the faculty’s website.
