Cairo Governor and Vice President of Ain Shams University inspect Ain Shams University's comprehensive development convoy in Ahalina District (1) "Al Salam District"

In light of the presidential initiative "Bidaya", Ain Shams University launched the comprehensive development convoy in Ahaleena District (1) "Al Salam District - Cairo Governorate" under the patronage of Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Major General Hossam El Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

         
   
         

This morning, Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo, inspected the convoy’s headquarters and pointed out the interest of the presidential initiative “Bidaya” in building the Egyptian individual and the Egyptian family through an integrated program in coordination between all state agencies, headed by the relevant ministries, such as the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Education, Health, Endowments, Culture, Social Solidarity, Youth and Sports, and others, to achieve the initiative’s goals, so that the citizen feels the positive return within a short period.
During the tour, Prof. Ghada Farouk stressed the university’s keenness to participate actively in the presidential initiative “Bidaya” with the aim of achieving qualitative changes and building the Egyptian person healthily, socially and educationally, localizing the concept of social justice, improving the quality of life and investing in human capital to achieve sustainable development in its comprehensive concept, believing that social, economic and political development cannot be achieved without achieving real human development on various axes.

         
   
         

She added that, in order for the university administration to contribute effectively to sustainable development plans and play its societal role, the first comprehensive development convoy was organized for this academic year, which includes a number of axes: medical, educational, awareness, literacy and art workshops for children.
Her Excellency also interacted with the beneficiary women of the area to determine their needs and the extent to which they benefited from the various services of the convoy.
It is worth noting that the medical axis included clinics: internal medicine – orthopedics – nose and ear – children – obstetrics and gynecology – dermatology – psychology and neurology and ophthalmology “people with special needs” under the supervision of the Faculty of Medicine and a unit for measuring blood pressure and sugar for visitors to all clinics under the supervision of the Faculty of Nursing in addition to the convoy pharmacy that provides its pharmaceutical services free of charge.

         
   
         
   
   

The awareness campaigns axis also included awareness lectures on “the dangers of illegal immigration and human trafficking, awareness of reproductive health and family planning, the importance of early breast examination, the importance of proper nutrition, how to prevent epidemic diseases, and the danger of school dropouts, in addition to the social assistance axis in cooperation with the Red Crescent Society “educational and cultural activities for people with special needs”
In addition to the axis of literacy, adult education, and awareness to support women and combat violence.
In addition to art workshops such as printing on T-shirts, beadwork, and doll making.
The convoy activities were attended by Major General Ihab Zahni, Head of Madinat Al Salam District, Engineer Amr Magdy, Head of Ahlina Authority, and a group of deans of the university faculties participating in the convoy, directors of centers, and a group of national and local leaders.
