The President of the University honors the first-place students in the first African Youth Week

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs honored the winners of the first places in the first African Youth Week held in Aswan University from 19 to 25 October during the University Board in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nazmy Abdel Hamid Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and deans of the faculties. The university students won five gold, one silver and one bronze medals in various sports, art and scientific fields.

Where students participated in the scientific activity won the "Best University" in addition to a gold medal in the field of innovation and inventions obtained by the student "Mohammed Fathi Rizk third year Faculty of Engineering in addition to the student Omar Gamal Abdel Aziz fourth year at Faculty of Computers and Information" won the first place gold medal in software.

In the artistic field, Amal Ashraf Ahmed, the third year of the Faculty of Arts, won the first place with a gold medal in the field of short films. Gehad Khalid, student at the fourth year of the Faculty of Commerce, won a silver medal in the field of oil painting. Asmaa Abdul Hamid Abdul Rahman, student at the third year of the Faculty of Arts, won the third place in the field of oil painting

In the field of sports, student John Morcos Abdo topped the first division of the Faculty of Engineering with two gold medals in swimming 100 meter  freestyle and 100 meter chest.

Tarek Ahmed Director General of Youth Welfare, Mohamed Taha, Mr. Talaat Abdo and Mrs. Huda Radi were also honored in the General Administration of Youth Welfare supervising the student delegation in recognition of their efforts.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini confirmed the support of the university administration for all the talents of students in various fields and overcome all obstacles to their participation in various regional and international forums in a proper manner at the prestigious Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Fattah Saud also praised the supervising level of students, stressing the need to work on developing their skills. He also affirmed his support for all outstanding students, where a financial reward was allocated to all students who won the first positions to serve as a financial motive in addition to moral recognition by giving them certificates of appreciation for their efforts.
