The launching of the Disability Integration Week activities at Ain Shams University

Within the framework of the new vision of Ain Shams University headed by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen and his interest in caring for all students, especially students with special needs, to enhance the concept of inclusiveness and integration among all members of the university community, the first activities of the Disability Integration Week at Ain Shams University begin today, which will continue for a whole week with the Empowerment Initiative, whose first activities begin at Cairo University with the participation of 200 male and female students with disabilities and normal people, which consolidates the basic idea of ​​the week, which is to integrate people with disabilities and normal people and present innovative and unconventional ideas that enhance the participation of people with disabilities and normal people in various activities, which helps remove the psychological and social barriers that they may face, as this approach is considered part of Ain Shams University's vision in creating a comprehensive educational environment that supports diversity and enhances the spirit of unity among all members of the university community.

The Disability Integration Week at Ain Shams University is organized, supervised and implemented by the Education and Students Sector, General Administration for Youth Welfare Office, in cooperation with the Students Disability Service Center and the Students for Egypt family.

It is worth noting that a number of activities will be held in which students with special needs and normal students alike will participate, including a sign language choir and a choir for people with disabilities in partnership with the Ain Shams University Choir, as well as a number of awareness campaigns presented by Basira Foundation and Al-Hassan Foundation to integrate students with disabilities and normal students together, in addition to holding an art exhibition for students, in addition to participating in a sports day that includes all students together.
