The Contemporary Civilizations Unit at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, organized an academic seminar titled "Sub-Saharan Africa and the Arab-Israeli Conflict 1967-1973."

The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of the University; Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty; with the supervision of Prof. Hanan Salem, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Essam Eid, Director of the Contemporary Civilizations Unit.

The seminar addressed many key topics related to the political and social history of that era. Prof. Ibrahim Galal, a history professor at the faculty, provided a detailed presentation on the impact of the Arab-Israeli conflict on diplomatic relations between Israel and Sub-Saharan African countries.

The seminar focused on how African countries responded to major events in the region during that period, and the importance of these interactions in shaping present-day international relations. It also highlighted Africa's role in issues of peace and stability in the region and in supporting the rights of the Palestinian people.

The seminar witnessed significant engagement from the attendees, with numerous questions and discussions on the topic, reflecting the students' and researchers' interest in the history of Arab-African relations and its impact on the current situation.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants expressed their appreciation for the college's efforts in organizing such events, which enhance culture and knowledge among students and the academic community.
