Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Faculty of Dentistry, represented by Prof. Karim El-Batouti, Dean of the Faculty, and EG Medical Industries, represented by Prof. Ahmed Hassan Shazly Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, with the aim of enhancing technical and scientific support, serving the community, and localizing the industry. According to the Agreement, the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University will become the scientific and technical office of EG Medical for dental implants.
Professor Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abidin stressed that the memorandum of understanding reflects the university's commitment to playing its role in serving the community and developing scientific and research cadres in various specializations, expressing his hope that this cooperation will be a major step towards enhancing scientific research and developing education and training services, hoping that this partnership will be fruitful and successful for all.
Prof. Karim El-Batouti, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, stressed the importance of the college's role in supporting and developing industry and higher education, through the precision measurements laboratory, which will be transformed into a scientific office and technical laboratory for the dental implant factory, which will be the first of its kind in Egypt.
He added that this will achieve a qualitative leap in the fields of industry and higher education, and faculty members in various clinical and academic departments will cooperate to conduct joint research aimed at producing a product that competes with global companies in this field.
For his part, Professor Ahmed Hassan Shazly Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EG Medical Industries, expressed his happiness at signing a memorandum of understanding with one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the Arab world, stressing that this cooperation will represent the integration of academic knowledge and industrial expertise to serve the medical fields and enhance the progress of the national industry, in addition to its role in raising the level of joint research, and developing sustainable solutions that contribute to improving human health and developing the dental implant industry locally.
The Agreement included cooperation in the research field through participation in joint research projects and publishing joint scientific research.
In addition to cooperation in the service field such as giving scientific and public lectures and organizing conferences, exhibitions and seminars in areas of common interest. In addition to organizing joint seminars and workshops, providing scientific consultations and joint studies, and conducting analyses in specialized laboratories for both parties, exchanging academic information and research materials, and working to transfer and develop modern technology.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, and the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Dentistry.
