The start of receiving appeals against candidates for student union elections at Ain Shams University

The door has been opened to receive appeals against candidates for student union elections at Ain Shams University according to the timetable for student union elections, to receive appeals against candidates for student union elections at universities.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research had announced the opening of nominations for student union elections on November 14, and the initial lists were announced yesterday, Sunday, November 17, 2024.

The President of Ain Shams University had assigned the Education and Students Sector at the university to form a central committee to follow up on the progress of student union elections in their various stages, and subcommittees in the faculties to follow up and supervise the elections and overcome the obstacles facing students, and receive appeal requests today, November 18, and examine the appeals on November 19, and the final lists will be announced on November 20, and the election campaign will begin on November 21, and the first round of elections will be held in the faculties and the sorting and announcement of the results will be on November 24.

The second round will be on November 25, then the elections for committee secretaries and their assistants will be held at the college level on November 26, and the elections for the union president and his deputy will be held at the college level on November 27, so that the student elections will end with the election of committee secretaries and their assistants and the president and vice president of the university union on November 28, 2024.

It is worth noting that the student elections are held in accordance with Prime Ministerial Resolution No. 2523 of 2017, amending some provisions of the executive regulations of the Universities Regulation Law, issued by Law No. 49 of 1972, as well as the financial and administrative regulations for student unions at universities issued by Ministerial Resolution No. 352 of 2019.
