In conjunction with World Hearing Day, the Audiology and Balance Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, a member of the World Hearing Forum of the World Health Organization, is organizing an awareness celebration on the importance of preserving the sense of hearing, as part of the annual events held during the month of March.

The celebration is held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Hospitals, Prof. Hesham Anwar, Director of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, and Prof. Hesham Taha, Head of the Audiology and Balance Unit at Ain Shams University, under the slogan "Protect your hearing.. Take care of yourself", on the main stage of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, on Monday, February 24, at 10 am.

The celebration aims to clarify the basic concepts of hearing preservation, in addition to highlighting the services available to support the hearing impaired and help them integrate into society and achieve a balanced life.

The day's activities also include providing a rapid hearing measurement service for those who wish, as part of the keenness, to enhance awareness of hearing health and ensure hearing safety for all.
