On December 19, 2024, Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, approved extending the deadline for implementing all mission plans for all types of delegations in the period from 2019 to 2022, as well as the Egyptian-Japanese Initiative programs until June 30, 2025.

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University, confirmed that this decision comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s interest in the role played by the Egyptian state in preparing scientific cadres that contribute to the nation’s renaissance and acquiring scientific and technical skills in modern and advanced fields through study and conducting scientific research in the best universities in the world.

This decision also contributes to providing sufficient time to complete all the necessary procedures for the travel of faculty staff and their assistants at Egyptian universities on the specified dates in coordination with foreign supervisors.

The faculty staff and their assistants nominated in these announcements must quickly complete all the papers and complete the travel procedures for Her Excellency before the date specified above.
