Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, the activities of the 19th International Conference of the Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, concluded after more than twenty diverse scientific sessions, including scientific sessions to present the latest scientific findings and interactive discussion sessions to discuss thorny or rare cases in various branches of specialization, which had a positive impact on all levels. The conference concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which is to pay attention to young doctors and those newly joining the specialty so that they are at a high level of knowledge and science, and to pay attention and be familiar with the role of technology and artificial intelligence technology and how to use it for the benefit of the Egyptian patient.
It also included shedding light, in cooperation with other institutions and bodies, on bad eating and drinking habits associated with the emergence of osteoporosis, and emphasizing modern methods of early diagnosis of rheumatic diseases and how to prevent them.
The conference also recommended following the latest treatment methods for rheumatic and immune diseases, and emphasizing that rehabilitation and sports injuries are done through joint work between different branches of medicine and explaining with similar examples.
It is worth noting that the conference continued from January 8 to 12, headed by Prof. Hebatullah Al-Shami, Head of the Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation.
