The President of Ain Shams University witnesses the celebration of renewing the accreditation of the Faculty of Medicine for the third time by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education

Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, attended the celebration organized by the Faculty of Medicine on the occasion of its third consecutive renewal of accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. The event was attended by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, former President of the University, vice-deans of the Faculty of Medicine, the Executive Director of University Hospitals, heads of departments, and a distinguished group of faculty members, hospital directors, center managers, and the Faculty of Medicine accreditation team.

In his speech during the celebration, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his gratitude and appreciation, on behalf of himself and the University Council, to the team at the Faculty of Medicine. He praised their exceptional efforts, which enabled the faculty to achieve accreditation, emphasizing that the Faculty of Medicine rightfully deserves this accomplishment due to its rich history, outstanding staff, and prestigious scientific contributions.

The university president highlighted that quality is a genuine practice and not merely documentation, expressing his hope that such practices become a model to be emulated across all academic institutions. He also noted that the efforts made to obtain accreditation demand even greater efforts for renewal, posing a challenge that requires continuous work to maintain this distinguished level.

Dr. Mohamed Diaa further noted that Ain Shams University is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, pointing out that the Faculty of Medicine predates the establishment of the university itself, making it an integral part of the university's history. He affirmed the critical role of university hospitals and medical faculties in ongoing development and collaboration with various university entities.

During his speech, the university president congratulated Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, former university president, on his appointment to the Advisory Council for Scientists and Experts of Egypt in the Education, Technical Education, and Scientific Research Committee. He also extended congratulations to Prof. Amr Ali Abdel Rahman, a professor at the Faculty of Engineering, for his selection in the same council under the Projects Committee. He stated that these appointments reflect the competence and contributions of the university's members in various fields.

Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, stated during his speech that this is the faculty’s third consecutive accreditation, reflecting the entrenched culture of quality within the institution’s operations. He emphasized that this achievement is a result of the strong and exceptional performance demonstrated daily across the faculty's various sectors.

He added that the process of renewing accreditation witnessed extensive collaboration among a distinguished team, where faculty members, hospital directors, students, and staff worked together with the Quality Assurance Unit to achieve this goal. He stressed that the efforts made during this period exemplify the practical implementation of the concept of quality.

Prof. Ali Al-Anwar expressed his deep gratitude to everyone involved in these efforts, thanking both the current and former university administrations for their continuous and unlimited support, which significantly contributed to this accomplishment. He also extended his thanks to the Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, the Faculty Accreditation Team, and all members of the faculty, stating that this success would not have been possible without their dedication and commitment.
